The River is a non-denominational church, and we exist to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus, for real and for life. That means learning who Jesus is, following Him daily, and letting your faith shape how you live.
We believe faith is meant to be lived out, not just talked about. Everything we do, from our Sunday services to small groups and serving opportunities, is designed to help you grow in your relationship with God and build meaningful connections with others.
We don’t just talk about faith—we help people live it out.
Whether you’re new to church, exploring faith, or have been following Jesus for years, you’ll find a place where you can belong, grow, and take your next step.
We’re committed to following Jesus in real, everyday ways. How we love, grow, and live together.
Everything starts with Jesus, who He is, and how we follow Him daily.
We are committed to knowing God’s Word and growing in our relationship with Him.
We believe real-life change happens in relationships, not in isolation.
Faith isn’t just something we believe; it’s something we live every day.
Learning to follow Jesus and helping others do the same.
Helping others know Jesus through how we live and what we say.
Honoring God both publicly and personally
We believe the Bible is true, Jesus changes lives, and following Him impacts every part of who we are.
The Bible is God's Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth and without error in the original manuscripts.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is one in nature, essence and substance and has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. He is perfectly holy and the source of all truth, love, and life.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, and is co-equal with the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life.
He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on the cross and rose from the dead after three days, demonstrating His power over sin and death.
He ascended to Heaven and will one day return to reign forever as King.
The Holy Spirit is fully God and part of the Trinity. He works in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus and draws us to Him.
He lives in every believer, guiding, strengthening, and helping us live the life God has called us to.
He empowers us to live out our faith in real, everyday ways.
People are created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him.
But because of sin, we are all separated from God and in need of forgiveness.
Only through faith in Jesus Christ can we be restored and experience new life.
Everyone needs salvation. It is God’s free gift, offered to all, but it must be received by faith in Jesus Christ.
We cannot earn it through good works or self-improvement, only through trusting in Jesus for forgiveness of our sins.
When we turn from our own way and follow Him as Lord and Savior, we receive new life that begins now and lasts forever.
Baptism is an act of obedience that follows salvation and is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
It is an outward expression of an inward change, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and our new life in Him.
We believe the church is the body of Christ, and Jesus is the head.
The church is made up of people who have placed their faith in Him.
Our purpose is to honor God by loving Him, loving people, and helping others know Jesus.
We believe following Jesus means living for Him, not for ourselves.
As we follow God’s Word and rely on the Holy Spirit, we grow in our faith and become more like Jesus in how we live every day.
Prayer is how we communicate with God.
It is a daily part of our relationship with Him, where we talk, listen, and grow in our faith.
